Dyersburg City Schools Truancy Prevention Services

 
 
 

The truancy prevention program is a collaborative effort of the Juvenile Court, the Dyersburg City School System and the Dyer County School System. The purpose of the program is to identify students at risk of truancy problems and intervene before these students fall into a cycle of truancy and delinquency.

Eligibility Requirements

Letters are sent out at 5 and 10 unexcused absences after 10 unexcused absences students are eligible to attend Truancy Board. After Truancy Board these students are monitored at least monthly.
