Porter-Leath-Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program

 
 
 

A voluntary support program for parents expecting a child or who have a young child. PAT promotes optimal early development, learning and health of young children by supporting and engaging parents and caregivers. A parent educator will provide parent education primarily through personal home visits and group meetings. PAT equips parents with knowledge and resources to prepare their children, from prenatal through kindergarten, for a stronger start in life and greater success in school.

Available to residents in Shelby County who are pregnant women as well as parenting families with children from birth to three years of age.
