Hope Program - Trauma & Loss Counseling for Children

 
 
 

The Hope Program at Catholic Charities provides free trauma counseling for children ages 4-18 in Davidson County who have been affected by violent crime. We are able to offer services to children who have witnessed or been affected (either directly or via a friend or loved one) by the following types of violent crime:

Adult Physical/Sexual Assault, Arson, Bullying, Burglary, Children Physical Abuse/Neglect, Child Sexual Abuse, Child Pornography, Domestic/Family Violence, DUI/DWI Incidents, Elder Abuse/Neglect, Hate Crime, Human Trafficking, Identity Theft, Kidnapping, Mass Violence, Other Vehicular Victimization, Robbery, Stalking/Harassment, Survivors of Homicide Victims, Teen Dating Victimization, Terrorism, Violation of a Court Order

We offer individual counseling sessions during the school day and group support after school (transportation provided). We discuss topics surrounding grief, safety, pain, anger, and healthy emotional awareness. This program is free of charge.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Hope Program, children must be between the ages of 4 and 18 and living in Davidson County. Eligible children should have experienced or been affected by at least one of the above-mentioned violent crimes.
